Kimono Accessories: Belts, Hair Ornaments and Footwear
This collection brings together accessories currently sold for kimono and yukata-inspired styling, including obi-style waist belts and pre-tied bows, Japanese-style hair ornaments and selected footwear. The collection is separated from the main Kimono collection so shoppers can compare garments and finishing pieces without mixing the two product types.
Choose by Accessory Type
- Obi-style belts and pre-tied bows: Compare the total length, width, fastening method and shape of the decorative bow. Many pieces are contemporary styling accessories designed for easier dressing; do not assume they are interchangeable with every component used in formal kitsuke.
- Hair ornaments: Check whether the listing is a single comb or clip, a hairpin, or a multi-piece set. Scale matters: compare the dimensions with your hairstyle and decide whether the ornament will be a focal point or a small accent.
- Footwear: Use the product’s own size and measurement information. A footwear listing should not be assumed to include socks or other garments unless the selected option states that explicitly.
Match the Accessory to the Garment
Begin with the colors and construction of the garment you already plan to wear. A highly patterned kimono-inspired dress may need only one restrained accent, while a simpler robe can support a more prominent bow or hair ornament. If you are still choosing the garment, browse Kimono Dresses, Japanese Kimonos for Women or the Kimono Colors guide before selecting the accessory.
Color names on screens are approximate, and separately photographed products may not be an exact match. For close coordination, compare all available product images and ask us about a specific pairing before ordering.
Compatibility and What Is Included
Review the selected variant, measurements and fastening details on the individual product page. “Kimono accessory” describes the intended styling category; it does not guarantee compatibility with every garment, body measurement or formal dressing method. Product photography may include garments, wigs, hair pieces, socks, bags or props that are not part of the purchase. Only items explicitly identified in the chosen option or included-items information should be expected.
Materials also vary. Do not infer silk, metal type, gemstone content or a particular craft process from appearance alone; rely on the exact product-page specification.
Ordering and Delivery
Yandan provides free worldwide shipping, with import duties included. Ready-stock items normally dispatch within 3–5 days. Made-to-order and preorder items typically require about 3–4 weeks before dispatch. Carrier transit time begins after dispatch and is separate from processing time.
Kimono Accessory FAQs
Is an obi-style belt included with every kimono?
No. Some garment variants include a belt or coordinated pieces, while others are sold as the garment only. Confirm the selected garment variant before adding a separate belt.
Are these accessories historically authentic?
The assortment includes contemporary Japanese-inspired fashion accessories as well as pieces described for kimono or yukata styling. No collection-wide claim of historical authenticity is made; use each listing’s details for the individual item.
Can I use one accessory for a formal ceremony?
That depends on the event, garment and dressing convention. For weddings, tea ceremonies and other formal settings, confirm the dress requirements rather than relying on the product title or color alone.
